Height Adjustable Desk – 10-Year Limited Warranty

Applies To: All height-adjustable desks sold by Standing Emu Pty Ltd

Warranty Coverage

Standing Emu warrants that its height-adjustable desks are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise required by law.

What Is Covered

This warranty includes the following components:

• Structural Components
  Frame, legs, brackets, and load-bearing elements
• Mechanical Components
  Lifting columns, gears, and internal drive systems
• Electrical Components (where applicable)
  Motors, control boxes, wiring, and handsets/controllers
• Desktop Surface
  Covered for manufacturing defects (not cosmetic wear)

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, fading, etc.)
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper installation
• Overloading beyond specified weight limits
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Damage from accidents, water, fire, or external causes
• Commercial use exceeding standard office conditions (unless specified)

Remedies

If a defect arises during the warranty period, Standing Emu will, at its discretion:

• Repair the defective part, or
• Replace the defective part with new or refurbished components, or
• Replace the product if repair is not feasible

Replacement parts or products may differ slightly in color or design due to improvements.

Warranty Claim Process

To make a claim, the customer must:

1. Provide proof of purchase (receipt or order number)

Standing Emu may request return of defective parts for inspection.

Shipping & Costs

• Warranty replacement parts are typically provided free of charge

  • May vary for remote or international locations

Limitations

• This warranty is limited to repair or replacement only
• Standing Emu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., loss of productivity, business interruption)

Compliance with Local Laws

This warranty is provided in addition to rights under applicable consumer laws.
For example, under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), consumers are entitled to guarantees that cannot be excluded.

Maintenance Requirements

To maintain warranty validity:

• Use the desk within specified load limits
• Ensure proper assembly and stable installation
• Periodically check and tighten fasteners
• Keep electrical components dry and clean
